Oil custody transfer metering system

PURPOSE:

Oil custody transfer metering system realizes direct and indirect method of dynamic measurements and usage procedure for commercial and operative oil accounting.

Oil custody transfer metering system is a complex of measuring instruments (transducers of flow, density, humidity content, salt content, viscosity, temperature, pressure, weight gages), processing devices, storage, indication and registration of results of measurement, process and auxiliary equipment (pipelines, filters, pumps, sampling equipment, isolate and control valves and others) provided for measurement information signals output   in the form suitable for automatic and manual processing.

Standard of Oil custody transfer metering system includes:

• Sensing line (operating): is in operation while normal operation of Oil custody transfer metering system.

• Sensing line (spare): is in standby spare and in any time can be put into service.

• Stationary reciprocating type unit for calibration testing and periodic verification of metrological performance of sensing lines.

Fixed assets of measurement and equipment:

1. Inflow valve or electrically driven ball valve.

2. Inlet filter.

3. Inlet header.

4. Sensing lines (SL):

• valve or electrically driven ball valve at the inlet of SL;

• flow transducer (Coriolis, turbine, rotary, bladed  flow transducers and others);

• valve or electrically driven ball valve at the outlet of SL;

• pressure transducers;

• temperature transducers.

3. Sampling skid:

• on-line density transducer;

• pressure transducer;

• temperature transducer (temperature gages);

• automatic and manual sampling equipment;

• recycling pump;

• flow meter.
