GOST 11851-85 states two methods (А and B) to determine the paraffin mass in crude oil. The method A consists in preliminary removal of asphaltic and resinous substances from crude oil, its extractions and adsorption, and subsequent paraffin precipitation by means of mixture of acetone and toluene at -20°С.
