HM1 hammer mill with charging funnel and control unit

Hammer mills are suitable for crushing soft to medium hard materials (degrees of hardness according to F.Mohs 2-5) and with high efficiency. The mill is used very often for crushing of coal, limestone, gypsum and sludge, in the first instance, for pre-crushing of bulk quantity of materials. The most important element of the hammer mill is a rotor with hammers suspended. Comminution occurs mainly through impacts in the area of the rotor and grid basket.  The material being crushed remains in the crushing space until the degree of fineness required has been achieved, so that it can then pass through the discharge grid. The top housing section can be swung up, making for rapid cleaning. The rotor is actuated by V-belt drive from three – phase motor.
